Volunteering with RTHS

RTHS membership is a great way to explore the people, places and events that shaped the foundations of the communities and culture we all enjoy today. Members also know and appreciate the opportunities membership provides to spend time in the company of interesting, like-minded people pursuing common interests.

And RTHS can be even more: not only a means to learn about history and heritage, but members also have many opportunities to contribute their knowledge and skills toward the achievement of shared goals.

RTHS is led by an Executive Committee consisting of a President, Secretary and Treasurer along with the Chairs of Committees formed to address specific disciplines. At present these Committees are:

Finance

Membership

Programs

Communications

Membership

Each of these Committees is comprised of volunteer members, most -- but not necessarily all -- being RTHS members. And each of these Committees is always willing to welcome new members.

In addition, RTHS's Dickinson House Museum in Manotick also welcomes volunteers interested in serving as tour guides or helping with the operation of the museum.

So, whether or not your are a member of RTHS, if you have an interest in helping the Society be the best it can be, please reach us by choosing "Contact Us" from the main menu at the top or bottom of this page.
